Start the ride down to meet the tour group tomorrow for our Alpine wonder. 😀
That's the first 80 miles done, on to Folkestone to meet Steve. Well impressed , hardly know I have these panniers on with this Dynamic suspension. 👍
The ride around the M25 / M26 was as expected , variable speed limit down to 40 mph in parts. Had time to play with the cruise control as a speed limit and great to find I could switch between TFT and the Navigator media as expected with voice prompts routing through too. I can, now at last turn GPS voice prompts off at will.
Apart from the ten minute stop near Oxford I stopped to fuel up just outside Folkestone, really pleased with the MPG almost the whole 207 miles on one tank of fuel.
Steve arrived first, came out to meet me in the car park sporting one of his Harley T-Shirts as is customary on a trip done his Mrs won't let him wear them when she is around 😀. A few drinks in the bar and a meal and catch up, we met a couple from Nottingham driving down to Montpellier in the car though they do have an RT and used to touring by bike. Nice couple. A few Harley's here again too all waiting for that early morning train ride.
