Intro'

Late Summer 2018 I will be joining my friends Steve and Ian and others on the Motorrad Tour:  Mountains-Alps. 

This years tour is more Swiss and Italian focused to include the following highlights:

• Vosges Mountains in Alsace  France and Lake Biel, at the foot of the Jura Mountains.

• Susten, Furka, Nufenen, San Gottard and Oberalp Passes staying close to St Moritz, Switzerland. 

• The iconic Stelvio Pass and Albula, Fluela and Ofen passes and the Italian Medall and Nigra Passes.

• The Passo Gavia, Penserjoch, Timmeljoch and Ofen Passes and the Stelvio for the second time riding through Austrian Southern Tyrol.

• Germany's Black Forest (B500) and then across the Rhein to Obernai and then the Champagne region of France.

Having received the latest Tour instructions and GPX files for my Navigator I have put together a few instructional videos on how to load and verify the routes on a Garmin device. Please be aware depending on the time of day you load these routes the device may interpret the route differently depending on if some of the mountain passes are currently closed (it assumes you want to ride the route soon) e.g. the Timmelsjoch pass closes at 8PM.
